ArabicCalligraphySupplies.com was founded with a very simple goal: provide top quality materials for Arabic and Islamic calligraphy. Some of these products we import directly from the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Japan, and India, the rest we manufacture ourselves. We are based in Washington, DC and currently are online-only.
The tools necessary for the proper and successful execution of Arabic calligraphy are extremely specific and use of sub-standard materials will only result in a sub-standard result, as well as frustration on the part of the student. Our aim is to bring the necessary tools to North America, the UK, and elsewhere, so that those wishing to learn Islamic calligraphy can do so.
Because of the lack of proper materials, coupled with the rise of digital typography, the art of Arabic calligraphy has experienced a tremendous decline in the past decades, to the point where few true masters of this sacred art exist in North America or the UK. We aim to remedy this problem.
